How Rustix Makes Furniture Shopping Easy In A Post-Virus World

It’s no secret that the pandemic has changed how people shop. Even as Canadians work hard to flatten the curve (and we’re doing great – yay Stage 3!), habits have gone through what we’re expecting to be a permanent shift. In our line of business, this might seem like a challenge, but we’re doing a lot to make furniture shopping at Rustix easy for the post-virus world! 

We’re giving Londoners a chance to get out of the house and see what we do by opening the Studio at specific times, providing free in-studio and socially distant consultations, and staying connected with current and future clients. All while staying vigilant about our sanitation methods!

We Make A Lot Of Custom Furniture!

For many of our clients, a table, desk, shelf, or other pieces of furniture starts in their imagination. This makes shopping very easy because there’s no shopping involved – we make it for you, using only locally-sourced materials! This is an important service because many people got thinking about their furniture while stuck inside. The result? Lots of people who don’t like what they see! 

Online furniture stores saw a huge rush in business, but this is a good way to guarantee future disappointment. Cheaply-made furniture you only can see through touched-up photos won’t last long! The best way to scratch that itch is to have a piece of furniture made for you. We work with clients around the province to make furniture that meets their specifications and needs. We’re now taking bookings for in-studio consultations, and these design consultations are free! You can schedule a time during the week; we are open from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We’re Opening Up The Studio

Not everything we make is built for a specific customer. We’ve filled our gallery with items for sale, all made from local, natural wood. You can walk in and see what’s up on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Please follow the physical distancing guidelines when you get here and enjoy the experience of being out on the town again!

Even as the economy starts blossoming again, many people can’t leave the house because of health issues; many others don’t want to risk the chance of exposure. We don’t want to leave anyone behind, so we’ve expanded how we do business online. To whet your appetite, we post most of our commercial work (and a lot of bespoke work, too!) on social media, and you can browse through the gallery on our website.

If a client likes something they’ve seen online or are feeling inspired, they can set up a Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Skype video call!
